Statement
A series of sketches and notes which proscribe the appearance and behavior of Meshy, an interactive drawing environment in which the user's strokes scaffold a gauzy mesh of animated elements.

Bio
Golan Levin is interested in creating artifacts and experiences which explore supple new modes of nonverbal expression. He received undergraduate and graduate degrees from the MIT Media Laboratory, where he studied with John Maeda in the Aesthetics and Computation Group. Prior to MIT he worked at Interval Research Corporation on the design of tools and toys for multimedia play and production. Golan has exhibited interactive works and performances at several venues, including the SIGGRAPH 1996 and 2000 Art Shows, ISEA 1997, Ars Electronica 1997 and 2000, the San Jose Tech Museum of Innovation, and the American Museum of the Moving Image.
